After another year of product launches, industry leading warranties for the all new Kia Ceed and record production levels at their new factory in Europe, the Korean car giant is showing that it's moving in the right direction.
But it's not just infrastructure that's winning over the hearts and minds of the public, the customer is also equally impressed, as the latest figures from JD Power prove.
The Kia Rio, which underwent a complete makeover in 2006, came tops in the B-segment of the latest J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Initial Quality Study.
Its the second year running that the Kia Rio has won this survey after Kia announced last year that it was planning to put customer satisfaction at the heart of its operation. Scoring no less than an 11-point year-on-year improvement on 2006, scoring 125 points in total, Kia have improved overall by 43 points since 2003, achieving the best improvement of all non-premium brands on the survey over the last five years.
The J.D. Power annual report measures 228 vehicle attributes across 8 categories and is one of the most comprehensive of its type. Some of these include the driving experience, engine and transmission, as well as a broad range of quality problem symptoms reported by vehicle owners.
The Kia Rio "diesel for the price of petrol" campaign is still available with Rio prices starting from only £7495 for the 1.4 S manual.
All Kia Rio's come with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty and three years roadside assistance.
